Responsibilities
Lead Fiber Network Design and Implementation efforts as JSI works with Tier 3 providers in rural areas to provide broadband and opportunity to all.
Share our vision to bridge the digital divide.
Drive JSI’s mission: leverage our expertise to empower communications providers to grow profitably and deliver world-class service.
Help our clients capitalize on the unprecedented funding available from various sources, including the June 2023 Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) program, the largest-ever government broadband funding.
Guide the Alaska division of 20+ people – and growing.
Requirements
Strategic Vision: Develop, implement and execute a strategic business plan for this region.
Leadership: Provide direction for the development, design, installation and inspection of Tier 3 projects to ensure high quality.
Operations: Oversee the execution of outside plant projects across the division.
Business Development: In partnership with the sales team, leverage relationships and industry associations drive new business.
Communication: Collaborate and engage at all levels to help achieve our company vision, strategy and goals.
Interact: Work across the JSI enterprise and build strong relationships with sales, internal teams, and customers.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and programs.
Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, technologies and market conditions relevant to the division and industry.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Master’s Degree and or equivalent experience required.
15+ years of experience within the telecom industry.
Have an OSP background while also being strategic and highly operational.
Experience with both white- and blue-collar workforce preferred.
Proven track record of success leading business transformations by leveraging innovative solutions and delivering results.
Thorough knowledge of compliance requirements and government regulations.
Strong leadership and management skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High levels of personal integrity and strong interpersonal skills.
Self-directed, driven and highly motivated.
Possess financial acumen to link operations to performance.
