About the role

  • Events & Famil Manager at Journey Beyond leading the planning and execution of various events. Working with cross-functional teams to deliver a variety of consumer, trade, and brand activation events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end planning, coordination and delivery of all Journey Beyond events.
  • Develop event concepts, themes, timelines and project plans from idea to execution.
  • Deliver a mix of consumer and B2B events, brand activations and national showcases.
  • Manage event logistics including venues, suppliers, AV partners and staging.
  • Oversee budget management across events, activations and famil travel programs.
  • Manage invitations, guest communication, collateral and digital content.
  • Act as the main contact for vendors, attendees and internal stakeholders on event days.
  • Deliver on‑site event execution, staffing plans, rosters and crew briefs.
  • Coordinate all major media and trade famils including itineraries and travel logistics.
  • Prepare post‑event insights, reports, feedback and continuous improvement recommendations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering events end‑to‑end, from planning through to on‑site execution
  • Strong organisational and project‑management skills, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and external vendors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across Marketing, Sales and operational teams
  • Budget management capability and confidence allocating resources wisely
  • Creative problem‑solving skills and adaptability when challenges arise
  • An understanding of hospitality and what makes a best‑in‑class guest experience
  • Travel planning and logistics management experience
  • A calm, solution‑focused approach under pressure
  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required for event delivery
