About the role
- As a Pre-Construction Procurement Manager at Johnson Controls, you will lead procurement for HVAC projects, developing cost models and supplier relationships across regional offices.
Responsibilities
- Lead a crucial relationship between our field offices and our supplier base.
- Be the main procurement contact for assigned Regional offices partnering with HVAC Controls Sales Organization to develop accurate installation cost models.
- Coordinate all operational procurement activities, utilizing systems, processes governing procurement of subcontract labor.
- Develop, align, and implement supply chain strategies to deliver efficient methods for procuring subcontract labor.
Requirements
- Electrical industry equivalent experience or bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in building systems or operational processes.
- Experience in design build construction and HVAC highly preferred.
- 5-8 years as a project manager with estimating experience in the HVAC Controls construction or trades industry.
- Procurement experience with a focus on construction and/or HVAC equipment and services with experience in cost analysis and strong financial knowledge.
- Good PC / software knowledge/skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to express information/ideas in a professional manner to varying levels of people and customers.
- Strong English skills required. Multi language capabilities preferred.
