About the role

  • Recruitment Consultant for engineering roles at TfL. Managing end-to-end recruitment process across various engineering disciplines with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver end‑to‑end permanent recruitment for engineering roles across TfL
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce plans, role requirements, and timelines
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies using direct sourcing, LinkedIn, talent pooling, and attraction campaigns
  • Manage candidate pipelines, shortlisting, interviews, and offer processes
  • Provide market insight and guidance on attraction challenges, salary benchmarking, and diversity outcomes
  • Ensure recruitment activity aligns with TfL’s diverse, fair and inclusive hiring approaches
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting against SLAs, KPIs, and governance requirements
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes and candidate experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience recruiting engineering or technical roles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in owning end to end recruitment
  • Excellent attention to detail, organised, responsive and proactive
  • Experience managing multiple roles and priorities
  • Capability in direct sourcing and talent attraction
  • Excellent understanding of inclusive recruitment practices
  • Strong attention to detail, with strong numeracy and analytical thinking
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Knows how to apply the jurisdictional law, regulation and agreed policy in relation to recruitment, resourcing and talent
  • Ability to identify and apply appropriate tools and techniques to develop effective assessment
  • To make recommendations for effective attraction and sourcing approaches based on business needs
  • Understands a range of approaches to resource talent and how to deliver effective talent and succession solutions
  • Good knowledge of the recruitment process and lifecycle
  • Knowledge of how 3rd party recruitment providers operate
  • Knowledge of managing and planning recruitment campaigns
  • Awareness of working regulations timelines
  • Good knowledge of the internal relationships and interfaces necessary for TfL Recruitment to operate
  • Experience of designing, creating and deploying targeted multichannel attraction strategies and designing diversity and inclusion initiatives to attract a diverse and quality pool of candidates
  • Experience of working to and meeting targets in a Business Services environment
  • Experience and knowledge of recruitment best practices
  • Experience of working with and managing 3rd party suppliers
  • Strong track record of experience in working with self-service tools and processes
  • Experience of working in a unionised environment
