About the role

  • Operations & Performance Manager overseeing Road User Charging operations, ensuring effective management of services and enhancing performance in London. Leading teams and engaging with stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all services and suppliers including contracts, agreements and services levels
  • Oversee a broad portfolio of operational and technical services, including enforcement and debt recovery
  • Monitor and manage on street infrastructure using analytics
  • Build strong operational relationships with customers and stakeholders, resolving concerns
  • Lead effective communication and engagement with suppliers, delivery partners, and stakeholders
  • Recruit, lead and develop the team ensuring clarity of accountabilities
  • Support budget management and financial decision making for RUC’s P&L
  • Deputise for senior managers supporting management regimes and chairing meetings

Requirements

  • Effective decision maker with strong influencing, negotiation and networking skills (Essential)
  • Ability to think and operate strategically including the ability to drive performance from data and customer feedback (Essential)
  • Work effectively with IT based operational systems and technologies (Essential)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including delivering presentations and complex information (Essential)
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate experience professionals to achieve high quality results (Essential)
  • Management and organisational skills including high level decision making and creative thinking (Essential)
  • Ability to build and maintain a useful network of contacts and relationships (Essential)
  • Knowledge of working within a legal framework, with the ability to interpret legislation (Essential)
  • Experience and success in managing outsourced contracts delivering customer-focused operational services (Essential)
