About the role
- Communication Technology Engineer planning communications technology projects in energy generation and renewable energies at Uniper. Technical support for decarbonization strategy and project management in national and international operations.
Responsibilities
- Conceptual and high-level planning for communications technology, including the preparation of tender documents and implementation of projects in power generation, gas, and renewable energy.
- Technical support for Uniper business units in implementing the decarbonization strategy, particularly for new-build projects.
- Technical expertise in the planning of safety and communication systems such as: fire detection and gas warning systems, electro-acoustic alarm systems, IT network infrastructures, video surveillance systems, and physical security systems.
- Definition and implementation of quality assurance measures.
- Project management in compliance with relevant technical standards, regulations, and laws.
- Development of technical standards to implement quality requirements during the planning phase.
- Contract management.
- Management of external planners to support planning and to expand technological know-how, acting as an extended workforce or as an informed buyer.
- Embedding Uniper's safety culture already during the planning phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in Safety Engineering
- Experience working with suppliers (technical and commercial)
- Project management experience in national and international projects
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages desirable
- Strong process orientation and a high level of quality and sense of responsibility
- Teamwork skills
- Good organizational skills and a structured working approach
- Willingness to travel; driver's license class B (car)
