About the role
- Senior Manager responsible for digital transformation initiatives at Transport for NSW. Overseeing project governance and leading cross-functional teams in a complex environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project allocation and prioritisation, establishing governance across the Technology program portfolio and guiding stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery of large-scale, high-risk digital transformation initiatives.
- Be accountable for ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, compliance with public sector governance frameworks, and effective coordination of cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Lead a team of thirteen (13) to drive business outcomes and contribute to the development of the Centre of Excellence (COE) fostering collaboration to enhance project capability.
- Partner with the Project Management Office (PMO) to define program/project scope and requirements, while leading the team to drive effective program planning
- Oversee project governance, methodology and assurance, and ensure they align with the portfolio framework and project delegations.
- Ensure program outcomes are delivered in alignment with established process frameworks and set portfolio standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering complex, multi-agency digital or ICT programs.
- Experience leading matrixed teams to deliver the associated project elements, including but not limited to change management, process improvement, and strategic planning and execution within a complex and constrained environment.
- Deep understanding of contemporary digital technologies and public sector strategy.
- Sound understanding of key project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and communication skills in a government context
- Tertiary qualifications in business or a related field, or demonstrated, equivalent professional experience.
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Prosci, or Six Sigma.
