Director of Cyber Portfolio Delivery at Transport for NSW tasked with overseeing high-impact cybersecurity projects and initiatives. Leading and aligning technology investments with organizational security objectives.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and expert oversight in planning, executing, and delivering multiple high-impact cybersecurity projects and initiatives in step with the CISO’s mission.
This position is dedicated to continually enhancing the security of TfNSW technology assets by ensuring the effective alignment of cyber-related projects and programs with the organisation’s strategic objectives and risk management frameworks.
Encompass a broad range of domains such as regulatory and enterprise systems, operational technology, and customer technology, performing a pivotal role in driving the end-to-end cybersecurity portfolio.
You will ensure that investments in cyber resilience, technology upgrades, and compliance initiatives are executed on schedule, within budget, and yield measurable impact, thereby fortifying the organisation's security posture.
Lead end-to-end project delivery of a portfolio of cybersecurity projects and initiatives to enhance the organisation's security posture.
Develop and oversee the execution of clear plans, timelines, and budgets aligned with organisational priorities.
Provide clear roadmaps and reporting at an executive level, business and program level both internally and externally as required.
Provide current and future headline reporting on financials, projects status and resources highlighting achievements, risks, and areas for improvement to the Cyber Directors and CISO.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project requirements, provide updates, and provide technology feedback throughout the project lifecycle with a focus on seamless transfer to service on completion.
Work closely with PMOE to ensure the integration of cybersecurity objectives into all project deliverables and outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity project delivery.
Requirements
Extensive experience managing large-scale cybersecurity programs and projects within complex organisations, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Proven ability to engage, influence, and manage relationships with executives, technology teams, vendors, and external partners to drive cyber program success.
Experience in applying agile methodologies, automation, and emerging technologies to accelerate the implementation of cybersecurity initiatives.
Meeting Australian Government Security Vetting Agency requirements and be able to maintain a minimum baseline security vetting clearance.
Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field or equivalent industry-based experience at a senior level within a relevant workplace context.
