About the role

  • Managing Director specializing in healthcare grant consulting for clients in the biomedical and healthcare sectors. Driving sophisticated grant-seeking strategies and managing proposals at McAllister & Quinn.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of sophisticated grant-seeking strategies.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to clients across organizations.
  • Manage end-to-end development of grant proposals, including complex proposals.
  • Track funding trends, emerging priorities, and legislative shifts.
  • Engage with clients on-site and participate in industry conferences (approx. <20% travel).

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a health-specific or health science related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in research development or federal grants management.
  • Deep knowledge of federal agencies and grant programs (e.g., NIH, HRSA, SAMHSA, DoD).
  • Prior experience in an academic sponsored programs setting is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in federal agency proposal development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and research synthesis tools.
  • Strong project management skills (Certifications like PMP or APMP are a plus).
