About the role
- Lead the finance department overseeing accounting according to HGB in a growing renewable energy firm. Collaborate with team members, improve processes and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- You will lead the financial accounting function according to HGB (German GAAP) — using your expertise to professionalize structures, digitize processes and further develop your team.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Point of contact for tax advisors, banks & auditors
- Consolidation, intercompany reconciliations & tax compliance
- Further development of accounting processes and digital tools
- Close collaboration with the head of finance and adjacent departments
- Optional: involvement in controlling (cost centers, project controlling)
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or degree in a finance-related field
- Completed Bilanzbuchhalter qualification (certified balance-sheet accountant)
- Approximately 10 years of professional experience in accounting, with solid experience preparing financial statements under HGB (German GAAP)
- Is team leadership your passion?
- Experience with consolidation, intercompany processes & ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Analytical mindset, precise working style & a drive for continuous improvement
- Nice to have: experience with IFRS, project controlling, group structures or in the renewable energies sector
