Responsibilities
Lead a team of Internal Linguists to perform according to the expectations of their role.
Assist Language Manager in setting goals for Direct Reports based on performance analyses.
Achieve established KPIs by reviewing high-visibility documents for priority clients.
Provide linguistic feedback to internal linguists on a monthly basis.
Oversee the onboarding process of internal linguists.
Contribute to the hiring process by reviewing tests and participating in interviews.
Identify candidates for IL roles among External Linguists.
Collaborate with LQS, Talent Management and Onboarding PM team on initiatives to improve quality.
Lead initiatives to improve the quality of External Linguists and foster their engagement.
Produce and present reports to the Language Manager and potentially to the Leadership Team.
Identify and develop talent inside the team for succession planning.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, ideally in a linguistic, business, or scientific field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Translation and Localization industry.
1 year of experience in leadership roles is desirable.
Has worked as a professional linguist during at least 2 years.
Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English is essential; an additional language would be advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and time metrics.
Solid leadership and customer service skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, and clients.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience working with XTRF and/or memoQ as well as with any TMS would be an advantage.
