About the role
- Video Editor/Cutter working on viral social media content for the Investmentbuilder Group. Involves editing short-form content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Responsibilities
- Editing & post-production of short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) – mainly talking-head pieces, podcast/interview snippets, B-roll
- Selecting the best shots and structuring a clear story
- Creating hook-strong intros (the first 1–2 seconds are your playground)
- Adding music, sound effects, captions, and simple animations/motion elements
- Creating subtitles/captions (readable, dynamic, aligned with branding)
- Optimization for performance: high watch time, strong hooks, clean pattern interrupts, good timing, clear messaging
- Template/system thinking: reusable caption styles, branding elements, faster workflows
- Structured organization of files, assets, and projects (folder structure, versioning, handovers)
- Pacing & storytelling: tempo, jump cuts, pattern interrupts, shot changes, zooms, overlays
- Optional: support on shoot days (e.g., camera assistance, media checks, set organization)
Requirements
- Initial experience in video editing, e.g., with Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools
- Very good sense for editing, timing, and social media storytelling
- You know current trends on TikTok/Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts — and can adapt them appropriately for the brand
- High willingness to learn, self-initiative, and a visible standard of quality
- Structured, reliable, and tidy working style (you keep order amid project chaos)
- Good German skills (at least B2)
- Bonus if you have already worked with AI tools (e.g., subtitles, edit optimization, thumbnails, text/hook variants)
