About the role

  • DevOps Manager leading and mentoring a team of Engineers at Intermedia, a cloud communications provider. Driving best practices and operational excellence for multiple product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps Engineers across VCP, CP, CPS, and CP Billing teams, providing technical guidance and career development.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes for all supported platforms.
  • Collaborate with product owners, development, QA, and security teams to ensure seamless integration, delivery, and operation of services.
  • Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of production and pre-production environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Standardize and optimize DevOps processes, tools, and documentation across all teams to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and workload balancing for DevOps initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within and between teams.
  • Oversee compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Report on key DevOps metrics, project status, and operational health to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering teams in a complex, multi-product environment.
  • Strong technical background in DevOps practices, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar), and automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, etc.).
  • Experience with Windows Server administration and IIS (Internet Information Services) management.
  • Familiarity with security best practices, compliance, and incident management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and distributed environment.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience with telephony systems, billing platforms, or security-focused DevOps.
  • Familiarity with .NET Core, Angular, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience managing hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
