About the role

• Senior Product Designer at Instructure, designing accessible educational products and workflows. Collaborating closely with product teams for user-centered design solutions in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Play an influential role in designing workflows for educators, students, and people that support teaching and learning
• Partner closely with product managers and developers to solve complex problems and ensure the highest quality solutions
• Be an advocate for A11y best practices
• Work with a rapid, iterative mindset, being open and flexible to changes based on user feedback
• Initiate and lead research activities with our customers and users
• Measure the success of products after release
• Build prototypes for user testing
• Use and contribute to a design system to create products with consistent interactions and a shared visual language
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure the highest quality designs and functionality

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience designing for large scale digital products
• A portfolio representing your strong design work (visual and UX) on complex digital products
• Self-motivated with a passion for design
• Strong problem solving skills
• Highly self-motivated, with deep experience leveraging Design Systems
• Deep experience and knowledge of designing for Accessibility compliance
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, verbal and written
• Strong work ethic, sense of accountability and ownership
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic thinker
• Great team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
• The ability to iterate rapidly
• Familiarity of user expectations and usage for mobile
• Prototyping experience, including leveraging AI tools for rapid prototyping/vibe coding
• Experience with designing mobile first and responsive web design
