About the role

  • Senior Projects and Partnerships Support Officer managing grants for humanitarian NGO IMPACT in Ethiopia. Role involves stakeholder analysis, fundraisng, and project proposal development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, development and management of grants within the mission.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and identify funding opportunities.
  • Lead collaboration with IMPACT’s sister organization Acted on project development and grants management.
  • Coordinate project proposal planning and prepare fundraising documents.
  • Review and negotiate proposals and/or contracts with donors.
  • Ensure timely completion of grant-related processes and follow up on project implementation.
  • Oversee the preparation of high-quality project narratives and monitoring & evaluation (M&E) reports.
  • Support the formalization of IMPACT’s hosting partner for the project.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–4 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in humanitarian settings and prior management experience are highly desirable.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (International Relations, Political Science, Social Research, Economics, Development Studies, Project Development, Fundraising, or similar).
  • Proven experience in positioning and fundraising, grants management, and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with the humanitarian coordination system and an understanding of donor and government requirements.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong coordination, organization, and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Ability to operate in a multicultural environment and adapt with flexibility.
  • Experience in Ethiopia or the region is an asset.
  • Fluency in English required.
