Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with presales and sales teams to translate customer pain points, business objectives, and technical requirements into compelling, technically sound solution proposals and presentations.
- Lead and orchestrate RFP/RFI response processes from a technical perspective, producing high-quality solution architectures, effort estimations, and risk assessments.
- Design and deliver Proof-of-Concept (PoC) and Proof-of-Value (PoV) engagements to validate proposed solutions, demonstrate feasibility, and accelerate customer decision-making.
- Serve as the technical face of the organization in client-facing engagements, discovery workshops, and articulating complex architectures in business-relevant terms.
- Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards, and roadmap aligned with organizational strategy.
- Develop comprehensive architectural documentation including solution diagrams, technical design specifications, integration patterns, and deployment topologies.
- Architect end-to-end data platforms and AI/ML solutions leveraging major cloud ecosystems like Microsoft Azure, GCP and AWS.
- Design modern data architectures including Data Lakehouse, Data Mesh, and Data Fabric patterns with emphasis on data governance, lineage, and quality.
- Oversee the technical execution of complex projects, ensuring that delivered solutions are faithful to the approved architecture and meet quality standards.
- Review and validate solution architectures from engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, non-functional requirements, and client expectations.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor and escalation point for engineering teams, product managers, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor technical debt, architectural drift, and compliance risks, recommending corrective actions where necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
- 8+ years of progressive experience in software architecture, systems design, or enterprise-level engineering roles
- 3+ years in a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect capacity, with direct involvement in presales activities (solution proposals, RFP responses, customer presentations, PoCs/PoVs)
- Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions across at least two of the following domains: Data & Analytics, AI/ML, Cloud Migration, Enterprise Integration, or Application Modernization
- Proven experience designing distributed systems, cloud-native solutions, and integration architectures on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong expertise in modern architecture patterns: microservices, event-driven architectures, domain-driven design (DDD), API-first development, CQRS, and serverless patterns
- Experience with Data & AI cloud services (data warehouses, data lakes, ML platforms, ETL/ELT orchestration, BI tools) and understanding of modern data architecture
- Solid understanding of security architecture, identity management, scalability patterns, performance optimization, and integration architecture
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate, DAMA DMBoK, Zachman)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies and cloud infrastructure management
- Proven ability to engage with executives, business stakeholders, and technical audiences, adapting communication style and depth accordingly
- Experience leading solution design workshops, technical discovery sessions, and architecture review presentations
- Strong proposal writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive technical narratives for RFPs, RFIs, and commercial proposals
- Ability to build and deliver compelling PoCs/PoVs under tight timelines, translating abstract requirements into tangible demonstrations.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
- Working proficiency in Greek and English
