About the role
- Event Manager leading planning and execution of high-quality events in Malta. Overseeing logistics, budgets, and team management for successful event delivery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage, and monitor event budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers, venues, and external personnel
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before and during events
- Collaborate with senior management to continuously improve event products and services and maintain market leadership
- Oversee event logistics, including transportation, catering, entertainment, production, and décor
- Lead, motivate, and support the event team, providing clear direction and hands-on leadership
- Ensure a consistently high level of customer service for clients, partners, and attendees
- Manage all operational and administrative aspects to ensure smooth and timely project delivery
- Analyse event performance and prepare post-event and quarterly reports with insights and recommendations
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Contribute to event-related social media activity across platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and others
- Provide input into sales and marketing strategies related to events
- Collaborate with internal departments to optimise workflows and suggest process improvements
- Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by the company
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as an Event Manager, with hands-on experience delivering events in Malta
- Demonstrated experience managing events end-to-end, from planning to execution
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience in event budgeting and financial management
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Confident negotiator with strong interpersonal skills for working with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required by event schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
