About the role

  • Business Analyst supporting project delivery and process improvements at Anglian Water. Capturing and documenting requirements, stakeholder collaboration, and process streamlining.

Responsibilities

  • The Business Analyst captures, analyses, and documents business and technical requirements, translating them into clear user stories and specifications for development teams.
  • They work closely with stakeholders to define needs, resolve conflicts, and ensure solutions align with business goals and processes.
  • The role supports projects throughout their lifecycle, including design, testing, UAT, deployment, and ongoing service improvement.
  • They also identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve how the business works.

Requirements

  • Ability to capture and define requirements, assess data, map processes, and implement improvements.
  • Experience in cross-process working, IT projects, IT applications, and infrastructure; knowledge of SAP and outsourced IT environments is a plus.
  • Excellent questioning, communication, and stakeholder management skills; able to translate complex requirements into actionable specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise, work on own initiative, and persevere to deliver outcomes.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, proactive approach, innovative problem-solving, and ability to challenge constructively.
  • BCS qualification, understanding of legal implications of data management and best practices.
