About the role

  • Product Owner responsible for managing the Product Backlog and development teams at i4pro. Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear user stories.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Product Owner alongside development squads, responsible for the product vision, prioritization and management of the Product Backlog.
  • Translate business needs and regulatory requirements from the insurance market into clear, well-defined user stories.
  • Define and communicate the product vision, objectives, roadmap and success criteria.
  • Plan, lead and participate in agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, review, retrospective).
  • Ensure continuous alignment with stakeholders (business, technology, compliance, operations and customers).
  • Support the preparation of functional specifications, business rules and product documentation.
  • Prioritize requests considering business value, risk, technical effort and dependencies.
  • Monitor product metrics (KPIs, OKRs, SLAs, lead time, throughput).
  • Act in a consultative manner, proposing continuous improvements to products and processes.
  • Support product validation, deployment and evolution processes.
  • Provide internal and/or external technical training.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in an equivalent role.
  • Strong experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or scaled frameworks such as SAFe).
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry (life, property & casualty, health, pension or reinsurance).
  • Knowledge of insurance market processes and domains, such as:
  • - Issuance, endorsements, renewal and cancellation
  • - Premium calculation, commissions and billing
  • - Claims, reinsurance and underwriting rules
  • - Products, coverages, policies and proposals
  • Experience managing a backlog and with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence or similar.
  • Ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria and perform value-based prioritization.
  • Good understanding of system architecture, APIs and integrations (functional/technical perspective).
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or related fields.
  • Advanced English is a plus.
