About the role

  • IT Product Owner responsible for agile decision-making and project management at Uni Systems. Overseeing multiple projects and ensuring compliance with technical and project management standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the team the input to be provided to the contractor(s) from an end-to-end point of view of the development cycle.
  • Work within the agile process and take decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality.
  • Follow a number of activities across different projects and contractors requiring technical and project management skills.
  • Understand and comply to a review process, monitor status of certain tasks, coordinate internally and gather input.
  • Support Development Lifecycle of the project.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the project.
  • Validate requirements taking into account the relevant data space stakeholders.
  • Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific data spaces and initiatives.
  • Be involved in the decision-making process related to user stories scheduling into sprints.
  • Review deliverable and demonstrable product version/software functionalities after every sprint.
  • Participate to live demonstrations of the product at the end of the sprint.
  • Evaluate and facilitate progress reporting.
  • Evaluate prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs.
  • Interact with business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers.
  • Supervise the implementation of the technical architecture, including an analysis of the integration and interoperability of different existing open-source software building blocks that will be included in the cloud architecture.
  • Steer/inspect/validate the software architecture documents.
  • Assist during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in IT and minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience (or Bachelor's degree in IT and minimum 19 years of experience).
  • Certification in one of the followings: Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Business Analysis, Project Management (PMP, PMI, Prince2 Foundation,PM2).
  • Strong experience with large projects, enterprise-level multi-user Information Systems.
  • Extensive experience in Agile as well as agile toolbox (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, Big Picture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman.
  • Proven experience as business analyst within the EU Institutions.
  • Good knowledge of cloud architecture frameworks and of Infrastructure as code.
  • Practical knowledge of (Open-Source) data sharing tools (EDC, Gaia-X, others), models and standards (W3C DID, W3C DCAT, W3C ODRL).
  • Good knowledge of applications design and modelling tools.
  • Familiarity with Relational DBMS.
  • Previous experience with business process analysis.
  • Understanding of AI, Machine Learning or High-Performance services.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure or data layer.
  • Advanced English (C1) communication skills (written and spoken).
