- Senior Accountant managing corporate accounting responsibilities including journal entries and reconciliations at Hyatt, a leading hospitality company with a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytics over significant account balances, including cash, financing receivables, and prepaid expenses.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, and other work assigned to and prepared by staff accountants.
- Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required.
- Fielding and resolving inquiries from management, other departments within Hyatt, and external auditors.
- Contribute to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, including documentation of process areas and testing of key controls.
- Reviewing quarterly schedules for external reporting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or other equivalent business/financial role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related field
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business (preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
- Supervisory responsibilities or other experience that requires ensuring the quality of work delivered by other individuals (preferred)
- Financial ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion) (preferred)
