About the role

  • Senior Account Manager servicing high-net-worth accounts in the Personal Lines team at HUB International. Manage insurance business, provide client service, and develop new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of insurance business while acting with a high degree of independent discretion
  • Provide professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues
  • Be responsible for account rounding and the development of new business as appropriate
  • Make major decisions independent of manager approval
  • Oversee the preparation and implementation of transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts
  • Acquire understanding of clients’ insurance objectives
  • Stay abreast of changes in the insurance industry and recommend clients accordingly
  • Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues
  • May negotiate with underwriters and carriers
  • Troubleshoot claims and billing issues
  • Responsible for overall retention of accounts and contribute to departmental production goals
  • Manage, organize, and conduct client meetings when necessary
  • Document conversations with clients and update all HUB computer systems as necessary
  • Travel on company business as required
  • Prepare reports for management as required
  • Mentor and support Account Managers as needed
  • Attend industry related continuing education training

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in insurance account management
  • Agency experience is preferred
  • Preferably prior experience with high net worth accounts
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently licensed in good standing in required lines and states
  • Current with all necessary CE credits in required lines and states
  • Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency management system(s)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
