Responsibilities
Leads the development and implementation of the category profile and strategy for assigned categories in collaboration with stakeholders across the Emory community
Develops, executes and manages sourcing events and supplier negotiations leading to contract award
Leads the implementation of awarded contracts including supplier enablement and buying channel enablement
Manages on-going supplier relationships for assigned categories in collaboration with stakeholders across the Emory community
Conducts a Quarterly Business Review working sessions with key suppliers and key stakeholders and completes the annual supplier evaluation process
Drives continuous improvement in the assigned categories; develops/strengthens internal customer relationships for assigned categories
Serves as the point person for issue escalation and resolution relating to suppliers, pricing, continuous improvement and contract/agreement interpretation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field and three years of procurement, business management or related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or equivalent strongly preferred
Knowledge of the overall purchasing process, strategic sourcing, and procurement related systems and supplier relationship management
Strong analytical and quantitative modeling skills including the ability to structure, collect, analyze, and communicate internal/external data or information in an organized manner
Strong project management skills
Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and non-verbal communications, listening skills, negotiation, problem solving, decision making and assertiveness) and presentation skills
