About the role

  • Workstation Tech Engagement Lead and Hardware Program Manager at HP, managing technical relationships and project plans with partners. Engaging with industry experts and overseeing workstation technology for various events.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship of critical Integrated Software Vendors (ISV) and Integrated Hardware Vendors (IHV)
  • Project Management of technical marketing assets, working with strategic partners (ISVs and others) to create project plans, managing timelines and deliverables against the goals of the program.
  • Represent HP as an industry expert various Tech Events, Trainings, and Trade Shows
  • Oversee the Workstation Equipment Program, working with HP’s next-generation technology to support HP at internal and external events, customer and partner requests, and ad-hoc performance testing
  • Monitors and tests application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifies possible solutions, and works with developers to implement those fixes.
  • Creates and maintains detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and user manuals.
  • Leads a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Requirements

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
