Assistant Banquet Manager overseeing banquet operations at Hilton Harrisburg. Responsible for training staff, supervising events, and ensuring quality service.
Responsibilities
Responsible for training and directing the banquet staff in servicing all banquet activities
Supervise the setup of function rooms according to event order specifications
Inspect function rooms and equipment for cleanliness and proper inventory
Verbally communicate with kitchen, service, beverage, convention services, and engineering staff during events
Provide leadership and direction in the development of ambassadors
Supervise clean-up of function room and proper breakdown and storage of equipment
Enter billing information to generate a final guest check
Process payroll for each event and check staff attendance
Promote and foster dignity and respect in the workplace
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
College degree is preferred
Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management is desirable
2+ years of previous experience in the food & beverage industry required
Previous supervisory experience in a hospitality setting is preferred
Must exemplify a positive, professional demeanor
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers
Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly
Knowledge in Microsoft Office products
