Program Manager supporting program design and delivery at the National Emergency Management Agency. Collaborating with stakeholders to manage disaster recovery and funding programs.
Responsibilities
Program managers in the Recovery Programs Branch support the design, delivery and management of NEMA’s administered programs, including the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA)
The position will require program management experience, exceptional stakeholder skills, excellent attention to detail and analysis and solid communication skills
At times staff within NEMA may be required to work outside of standard business hours, particularly during the higher risk weather season
Work closely with key stakeholders to deliver key programs
Requirements
Experience or an interest in program management, and/or disaster funding programs/policy at Commonwealth, state or local government level
Experience in project management across all key stages of program delivery
Sound influencing and negotiation skills and able to develop effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
Understand relevant government policy, legislative and financial frameworks including Commonwealth procurement and grant rules and guidelines, and Federation Funding Agreements
Exceptional oral and written communication skills to clearly advise and influence stakeholders and decision makers
Ability to show initiative, sound judgement, integrity and personal drive
An understanding of disaster and climate management and the issues facing Australia
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
