Responsibilities
You are responsible for leading and conducting negotiations on quantities, prices, delivery dates and conditions, as well as cost allocation/assumption, both within the scope of drawing authority and beyond.
You confidently conduct these negotiations in a foreign language for large-scale projects.
In close cooperation with our engineering teams, you act as lead negotiator for investments in new-build and refurbishment projects, particularly with regard to machinery, equipment, press tools, and services.
You identify and analyze procurement markets in Europe and Asia based on trade fairs, supplier visits, tender documents and technical documentation.
You are responsible for leading and organizing meetings.
Independently, you conduct market analyses, select suppliers, negotiate prices and conclude contracts.
Requirements
You hold a completed degree, preferably in industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable field.
You have several years of experience in project purchasing, ideally in the automotive sector.
You have solid knowledge in sourcing press tools as well as machinery and plant equipment.
You have business-fluent German and English language skills.
You think and work analytically, in a structured and independent manner, possess excellent assertiveness and impress with a competent and confident demeanor.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills are among your strengths.
Your confident presence as well as strong communication and persuasion skills support your success in the team.
Familiarity with SAP and experience with MS Office applications are a matter of course for you.
You have repeatedly demonstrated strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
