About the role

  • Leads negotiations for project purchasing in automotive sector with various engineering teams. Engages in market analysis and supplier selection focusing on cost management and quality.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for leading and conducting negotiations on quantities, prices, delivery dates and conditions, as well as cost allocation/assumption, both within the scope of drawing authority and beyond.
  • You confidently conduct these negotiations in a foreign language for large-scale projects.
  • In close cooperation with our engineering teams, you act as lead negotiator for investments in new-build and refurbishment projects, particularly with regard to machinery, equipment, press tools, and services.
  • You identify and analyze procurement markets in Europe and Asia based on trade fairs, supplier visits, tender documents and technical documentation.
  • You are responsible for leading and organizing meetings.
  • Independently, you conduct market analyses, select suppliers, negotiate prices and conclude contracts.

Requirements

  • You hold a completed degree, preferably in industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable field.
  • You have several years of experience in project purchasing, ideally in the automotive sector.
  • You have solid knowledge in sourcing press tools as well as machinery and plant equipment.
  • You have business-fluent German and English language skills.
  • You think and work analytically, in a structured and independent manner, possess excellent assertiveness and impress with a competent and confident demeanor.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills are among your strengths.
  • Your confident presence as well as strong communication and persuasion skills support your success in the team.
  • Familiarity with SAP and experience with MS Office applications are a matter of course for you.
  • You have repeatedly demonstrated strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
