Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with Hitachi Energy's business objectives and sustainability goals
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and process optimization through strategic sourcing initiatives
- Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify and qualify potential suppliers, ensuring they meet Hitachi Energy's quality and sustainability standards
- Evaluate supplier performance and capabilities and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements in terms of pricing, quality, delivery, and contractual terms
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy's policies and legal standards
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, sales, and tendering teams, to understand and address procurement needs
- Provide expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams in supplier selection, contract management, and procurement of best practices
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, regulatory, and quality-related concerns
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Advanced degree (MBA) or professional certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus
- Ten years of Supply Chain-related experience with a proven track record of five years’ successful strategic sourcing experience, preferably within the energy or engineering sector
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and build productive relationships
- Proficiency in procurement tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and market analysis
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
