About the role

  • Einkäufer Food managing supplier relationships and product selection for professional customers. Responsible for international product identification and procurement strategies with competitive analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage suppliers & partners: independently select and evaluate suitable suppliers
  • Conduct purchasing and terms negotiations
  • Targeted identification of international products for our professional customers
  • Continuous development of the procurement strategy
  • Collaborate with importers based in the EU
  • Monitor key performance indicators and derive appropriate actions
  • Serve as contact person for internal interfaces for the Cash & Carry market and delivery services

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Creativity and a confident demeanor
  • Solid professional experience in purchasing or category management within a retail company in the food sector
  • Initial leadership experience
  • Negotiation-level English (business fluent)
  • Strong affinity for food
  • Strong numeracy
  • Strong analytical abilities
