Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain effective Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems, policies, and procedures
Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, and incident investigations
Ensure compliance with relevant local, national, and international HSE laws, regulations, and standards
Lead the development and delivery of HSE training programs for employees at all levels
Manage and monitor HSE performance metrics
Prepare comprehensive reports for management
Conduct internal and external HSE audits and inspections
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external stakeholders regarding HSE matters
Promote and champion Hitachi's sustainability initiatives
Collaborate with various departments to integrate HSE considerations into all business processes
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in HSE management
Professional certifications such as Class A or Class B of Occupational Safety and Health Technician or equivalent are highly desirable
Thorough knowledge of local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and programs
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, risk assessments, and data interpretation
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software
