About the role
- Safety Specialist supporting health and safety practices at Coperion, ensuring compliance with German regulations. Collaborating with teams and conducting safety inspections in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Support and advise the Field Service team on all matters related to occupational health, safety, and accident prevention
- Maintain the Occupational Safety Management System in accordance with ISO 45001
- Conduct construction site safety inspections and accident analyses
- Deliver employee training sessions on occupational safety
- Ensure all occupational safety measures are accurately documented, complete, and up to date
- Provide reports to management and HSE responsible persons
- Collaborate with customers, internal departments, and external service providers
- Act as the process owner for the SGA process (MAPS)
Requirements
- Technical qualification such as Technician or Master Craftsman
- Completed training as a Safety Specialist under §7 ASiG
- Certification as an Internal Occupational Safety Auditor (ISO 45001 / ISO 19011)
- Experience in safety management
- Willingness to further develop safety expertise
- Excellent knowledge of German regulations and laws related to occupational safety and fire protection
- Structured and independent working style
- Experience in project management
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Fluent in German and English
