About the role

  • Part-time Accountant at Coperion managing financial report preparation and bookkeeping tasks in the engineering sector. Collaborating and supporting various financial processes and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable (AP) accounting in general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
  • Accounts receivable (AR): general ledger (based on sub-ledger)
  • Reconciliation of bank, cash and account balances
  • Posting of expense reports and credit card transactions
  • Dunning / collection management
  • VAT reporting
  • Support in preparing monthly financial data
  • Ad hoc and recurring inquiries
  • Clearing process – intercompany transactions
  • Internal control system (ICS) and SOX controls
  • Reconciliations and accruals
  • Support for statistics & reporting for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Commercial vocational training in finance and accounting (e.g., accounting clerk, retail or industrial clerk) or a comparable qualification/continuing education
  • Ideally professional experience in accounting; experience in an industrial company is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of German accounting standards
  • Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Independent, proactive, structured and solution-oriented working style
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and spoken German and English
