About the role

  • Comptable général assurant le suivi comptable des activités à Lyon pour Handicap International. Participer aux opérations de clôtures et garantir le respect des processus comptables.

Responsibilities

  • Within an 8-person team, you are responsible for the accounting follow-up of our various activities and participate in the semi-annual and annual closing operations.
  • You ensure that all accounting processes are respected by performing consistency checks.
  • You produce summary schedules and reconcile accounting data with auditors.
  • You calculate provisions, record them and then reverse them.
  • You account for bequests in accordance with the accounting rules in force in the country.
  • You record payroll entries and ensure their supporting documentation/reconciliation.
  • You are the primary contact with the AN (National Agency) on accounting matters.
  • You create or update review files and control methods, with a continuous focus on risk control.
  • You contribute to the various projects that impact your department and to the development of accounting tools and procedures.

Requirements

  • You have 4 years of experience in an accounting department, ideally in an accounting firm.
  • You are familiar with office tools, in particular Excel (Outlook, Word and especially a good command of Excel fundamentals).
  • Experience with accounting software and with Microsoft NAVISION would be a plus.
  • Responsive and rigorous, you also have good interpersonal skills.
  • You are proactive and comfortable in a changing environment.
  • You have technical English at a B1 (intermediate) level.
