About the role

  • Finance Clerk managing financial administrative tasks under the Director Health Services. Executing financial management duties in alignment with Southern Health-Santé Sud's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • The Finance Clerk works under the supervision of the Director Health Services or Designate and is responsible for performing a variety of financial administrative tasks and other duties that relate to keeping accounts in the financial management of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
  • The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters.
  • The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Requirements

  • 1 years recent experience working in a financial or business environment.
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited business administration program with a focus in accounting.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Email.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good work and attendance record.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.
