Quality Analyst developing quality plans and ensuring compliance for naval shipbuilding projects. Engaging with engineering and manufacturing teams for project oversight.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Responsible for audits and certifications for VIRGINIA and COLUMBIA Class submarines for the Special Emphasis (SUBSAFE/DSS-SOC/FBW SCS) Programs for the SUBSAFE Program Office at NNS.
Be the SUBSAFE Program representative and point-of-contact during audit and certification events, and will speak on behalf of the NNS to external agencies.
Responsible for reviewing audit card responses prior to submittal to the government for approval in support of certification.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
