About the role
- Conduct audits of purchasing order files at Ingalls Shipbuilding ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Evaluating suppliers and preparing audit findings for management.
Responsibilities
- Conducts audits of purchasing order files in accordance with established standards for accuracy, quality and compliance with existing FAR/DFAR governing regulations.
- Interprets federal, state and/or international regulations as they apply to purchase order requirements.
- Evaluates suppliers in terms of risk to the company and establishes controls to mitigate any potential impact or loss to HII.
- Prepares reports of audit findings and recommendations to management.
- May include auditing activities under Sarbanes-Oxley.
- May support organization in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes and control procedures.
Requirements
- 6 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree (combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree)
