About the role
- Loss Prevention Coordinator responsible for protecting assets and preventing loss in retail operations. Investigating theft and ensuring compliance with security measures in Edmonton, AB.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, recommends, and implements systems to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or company assets.
- Audits our current POS system (Point of Sales System) by store to identify issues.
- Monitors inventory to identify issues at store level.
- Investigates suspicious customer and/or employee activity remotely via CCTV camera.
- Conducts periodic audits to confirm video surveillance systems are working properly.
- Works with finance team to ensure cash is accounted for both in the back end and in the POS system.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to prevent theft at point of sale or inventory storage areas.
- Conducts remote audits via CCTV for a variety of different investigations, prepares reports on the findings of the audit.
- Researches, suggests, and implements additional security measures.
- Assist with other duties as required.

- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Alberta Security license
- CannSell Cannabis License
- Experience in a cannabis environment would be preferred.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement.
- Strong communicator.
- Customer service driven.
- Knowledge of retail operations and loss prevention strategies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of the criminal code.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and documentation.
