About the role
- Finance Intern responsible for general accounting tasks and supporting ERP implementation at HEXPOL. Gaining exposure to operational finance and contributing to business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with general accounting activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Helping with month-end close activities and financial reporting tasks
- Assisting with banking, customer invoicing, and payment processing
- Supporting the Finance team during the transition to a new ERP system (IFS Cloud)
- Helping document processes and procedures related to accounting and finance operations
- Providing administrative and analytical support to the Controlling and Accounting functions
- Partnering with site finance and plant leadership to gain exposure to operational finance
- Assisting with special projects
- Completing additional tasks as assigned based on business priorities
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong interest in learning operational and manufacturing finance
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
