About the role

Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Safety by transforming operational, regulatory, and workforce data into actionable insights.
- Manage the company’s safety information to facilitate trend analysis, risk identification, incident investigation, and knowledge sharing across the company.
- Serve as the corporate “super user” for the company’s safety information system.
- Analyze safety data to identify trends, test hypotheses, and detect emerging risks.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports for leadership and site teams.
- Conduct QA/QC on safety data, reports, and analyses to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Coordinate external consultants, including auditors—manage scheduling, track progress, monitor budgets, and ensure deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in safety, operations, analytics, or a related field.
- Experience working with safety data, regulatory reporting, or incident investigations.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and leading indicator frameworks.
- Understanding safety principles, regulatory requirements in our operating jurisdictions, and risk management.
- Knowledge of incident investigation methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).
- Ability to work with databases, spreadsheets, and safety management software.
- Proficiency in French and/or Spanish.
