About the role

  • Business Development Manager focusing on SaaS software sales for corporate reporting in DACH. Responsible for new customer acquisition and account development collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new customer acquisition and the development of existing accounts
  • Acquire new customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and prospectively in other European markets
  • Build and maintain personal lead lists and proactively research relevant industries and target contacts
  • Manage the entire sales cycle: qualification, needs analysis, product demos, proposal development, contracts, and handover to delivery
  • Support kick-offs, internal debriefings and early project phases
  • Ongoing management and expansion of your customer portfolio, including up- and cross-selling
  • Conduct market and competitor analyses (SaaS, reporting, corporate publishing)

Requirements

  • Approximately 5–15 years of professional experience after completing your education
  • At least 2+ years in B2B software sales / SaaS or in business development with a sales focus
  • Several years of experience in B2B SaaS, cloud or software sales — ideally with a hunter mentality
  • Alternatively: sales background in corporate publishing / digital publishing / corporate reporting
  • Basic technical understanding (Dev / IT) and a genuine interest in complex software solutions
  • Very good German and very good English skills
  • Willingness to travel: 5–8 customer meetings per month in the DACH region
