About the role
- Data Analyst building data models, dashboards, and analyses for decision support in a leading hotel management startup. Collaborates across departments to establish data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- As the first hire in the Data team (Founding Data hire), you will build clean data models, deliver dashboards and analyses, and enable teams to make data-driven decisions.
- You will model data in the data warehouse using Snowflake and dbt and maintain transformation and modeling logic.
- You will create dashboards and reports in Metabase, develop KPI standards, and enable self-service.
- You will perform ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions – e.g., in Excel, Python, or R, depending on your skillset.
- You will capture requirements, prioritize them, and translate them into clear, usable data solutions.
- You will establish data quality practices, documentation, and simple governance processes.
- You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Customer Success, and the Leadership team.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics or related roles.
- Strong SQL skills; experience with modern data warehouses (ideally Snowflake) and dbt is a plus.
- Experience building dashboards/reports (e.g., Metabase, Looker, Power BI, or Tableau).
- Comfortable with ad-hoc analyses (Excel required; Python/R a plus).
- Strong stakeholder communication: you can structure questions, define metrics, and deliver clear insights.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you prioritize by impact and ROI, make pragmatic build‑vs‑buy decisions, take ownership, and deliver.
- Ability to deliver quickly usable solutions in a startup context.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
