Group Financial Accountant overseeing SEC reporting and consolidation in a global insurance company. Working across accounting and technology functions for process improvements and training.
Responsibilities
Assist with the group's SEC quarterly reporting and consolidation process
Assist with the quarterly group close planning and roll forwards
Assist with the preparation of group financials and supporting workbooks
Reconciling the group eliminations and consolidation business units
Liaise with external auditors as required
Supporting the finance team with group processes and training
Support the SUN General Ledger system
Setting up new General Ledger codes and analysis codes, reviewing FX rates and opening and closing periods
Support in the analysis and implementation of process improvements
Other ad hoc projects as required
Requirements
Recently qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
Strong technical accounting knowledge
US GAAP experience desirable
Proficient user of accounting ledgers (SUN desirable)
Workiva experience desirable
Strong user of MS Excel
An ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
High levels of attention to detail
