About the role
- DoD Budget Financial Manager for mission sustainment within the Army. Leading financial planning, budget formulation, and spending execution efforts with cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Support a mission sustainment organization within the Army.
- Lead the team driving financial planning and execution, focused on budget formulation, funds execution, program management, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with various Program Managers and requirements sponsors to analyze and address budgetary planning and execution plans and documentation.
- Assist with coordination, preparation, planning, and justification of the annual budget cycle to include schedules, briefings, and meetings.
- Prepare for dedicated organization funding in FY26 and across the FYDP.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients in assessing budget and financial management practices and systems, developing solutions, and implementing business process improvements.
- Perform analysis over budget execution and other financial data to help inform decision making, and to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "NACI"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their NACI prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- Candidates with an ACTIVE NACI or SUITABILITY are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree
- SIX (6) or more years' of experience in financial management including FIVE (5) years consulting experience
- Experience using General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to perform organizational financial transactions
- Experience building and monitoring organizational annual spend plan
- Experience in developing, submitting and defending an organization’s POM inputs to various Headquarters, Department of the Army program evaluation groups
