About the role
- Senior Demand Planner ensuring accurate demand forecasts for Bel Group's diverse food brands. Analyzing data and collaborating with teams to optimize inventory and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate demand and risk & opportunities forecast within a BU to enable business piloting and fulfill customer needs.
- By analyzing market trends, historical data, and stakeholder inputs, the Demand Planner improves forecast accuracy at sku level and helps optimizing inventory and driving operational efficiency on 18-months horizon.
- Maintain the data set of demand planning including Master data, Historical data and Forecasting data for Vietnam in daily basic
- Maintain data source in Power BI for VN S&OP Dashboard
- Understand its portfolio, the ABC-XYZ classification and forecastability to decide forecast strategies.
- Develop and maintain an accurate 18 months sales forecasts at sku level on a dedicated perimeter by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, business insights and statistical forecasts.
- Leverage the Advanced Planning System for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to gather input on promotional activities, new product launches, seasonal trends and update frequently the system.
- Work closely with Supply Planning teams to ensure smooth alignment of supply with demand.
- Prepare, lead and document S&OP Demand Review Meetings.
- Reflect monthly S&OP decisions into the system on time and collaborate with peers (e.g. masterplanning, deployment) on changes above threshold.
- Analyze, identify forecast hypothesis gaps versus plan.
- Alert the business team and develop actions to correct forecast bias in order to improve inventory levels, freshness, customer service performance metrics.
- Prepare and present regular demand planning reports for key stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate potential risks that could affect demand planning, such as supply disruptions, market demand shifts, or changes in inventory policies.
- Propose mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to annual budget exercise, understand top-down S&OP approach and is able to challenge business assumptions on its perimeter with data insights.
- Identify improvement areas within the demand planning process.
- Participate to the demand planning global community with the BPO support (eg key user, champion)
- Contribute to Pre S&OP meeting and S&OP meeting preparation.
- Contribute to transition to new demand planning system at Vietnam market: Athena project
- Contribute to developing supply chain international flows based on direction from leadership team (if any)
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 year experience to understanding Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain International Flow (FMCG is a plus)
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting approach.
- Being passionate about working with number and detail focused
- Strong analytical and critical to challenge business team with an unbiased perspective.
- Having ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Being organized to manage daily, weekly, monthly schedule and multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience in APS platforms (eg Maestro Kinaxis, JDA, IBP), ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of Power BI tools is a plus
- Supply chain (Apics certification is a plus)
- Proficiency in English: written, spoken and interpersonal
- High adaptability to volatile business dynamics and transforming environment
- Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to end-to-end planning
- Good communication and collaboration/influential skills to work across departments and functions.
