Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day raw material replenishment and inventory across UK manufacturing sites to meet production schedules.
Monitor and analyze supply plans and material usage to identify and resolve potential supply risks or shortages.
Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials with the correct quality and quantity.
Apply and review statistical safety stock models to set appropriate buffer stock levels based on demand and lead‑time variability.
Lead supplier performance management, including tracking metrics and driving supplier performance improvement plans.
Manage obsolete and slow‑moving inventory (OSMI) by analysing trends and coordinating actions to minimise financial impact.
Analyse inventory variances, waste, and write‑offs to identify root causes and implement corrective process improvements.
Develop and maintain key inventory and supplier KPIs, taking corrective actions to ensure performance targets are achieved.
Requirements
Proven experience in a manufacturing, multi-site Supply Chain environment and in a Supply Planning role using DD/MRP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in SAP ERP and MRP-based systems for replenishment and planning.
Strong understanding of inventory management techniques, including safety stock and optimisation.
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise, multitask, and perform under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with senior management, cross-functional teams, and suppliers.
