About the role
- Onsite Service Representative delivering inventory management and exceptional customer service at Grainger. Engaging with customers and ensuring product availability across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Support Grainger’s strategic vision by providing the best service to customers
- Receive and stock purchased product in designated customer locations.
- Ensure proper product stocking levels at customer locations by scanning orders as inventory is depleted.
- Oversee customer inventory locations by ensuring proper labeling and quantities on hand are accurate.
- Resolve customer problems promptly and accurately in a manner that retains and promotes customer loyalty.
- Comply with the safety and inspection requirements.
- Generate new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs.
- Execute onsite service component of account strategy as defined by cross-functional partners.
- Work with sales partners to improve customer experience and increase business.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 1-3 years’ experience in customer service/selling (i.e., Retail / telephone / warehouse) environment.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and dedication to customer service and sales growth.
- Must be comfortable on daily use of technology.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with tact and diplomacy with internal and external customers and cross-functional partners.
- Demonstrated ability to apply strong judgment, independent problem-solving skills, and understanding of Grainger’s Core Value Proposition.
- Handle various technical and operational issues.
- Operate in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in province of residence.
- May be required to use a personal vehicle for transportation with valid insurance which meet’s Grainger’s standards.
- This role may require you to attend customers’ sites and adhere to safety requirements.
