About the role

  • Joining London Market Insurance client as a consultant focusing on general ledger integrity and month-end close activities. Initial short-term contract until the end of February with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile migrated general ledger data to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Process cutover and backlog transactions within Workday
  • Support month-end close activities, including bank and control account reconciliations
  • Perform daily accounting activities, including manual Workday journals for bank and control accounts
  • Support the resolution of reconciliation breaks and accounting queries
  • Ensure adherence to accounting controls and reconciliation standards
  • Support the Senior Manager – Insurance Accounting & Reporting with ad-hoc tasks

Requirements

  • Experience in an Accounting, Finance Operations, or Insurance Finance role
  • Strong hands-on experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
  • Exposure to month-end close processes, including bank and control accounts
