About the role

Responsibilities
- Maintenance and further development of our energy management system: responsible for ensuring compliance with DIN EN ISO 50001 in an energy-intensive industrial company.
- Advising and supporting operations on questions related to energy efficiency and CO2 reduction projects.
- Guiding an industrial site toward a climate-neutral future.
- Assisting with the collection, analysis and evaluation of energy data.
- Supporting the energy-management optimization at Glencore Nordenham.
- Securing public funding for energy efficiency and sustainability measures as well as for research projects.
- Conducting energy audits and providing training in the energy sector.
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree with a focus on energy, environmental engineering or a comparable education/qualification (e.g., technician, master craftsman with equivalent qualification)
- Ideally, initial practical experience in energy management, energy efficiency or CO2 reduction, preferably in an industrial company.
- Basic experience working with energy management systems (e.g., DIN EN ISO 50001) as well as in the analysis and evaluation of energy data is an advantage.
- Excellent Excel skills to efficiently collect, analyze and evaluate energy data.
- Fluent German and business-fluent English.
- Strong self-motivation to continuously improve and implement processes.
- Technical and analytical understanding.
