About the role

  • Controller managing financial planning, reporting, and cost management at Glencore's Nordenham facility. Collaborating with stakeholders for strategic business integration.

Responsibilities

  • Financial planning, forecasting and variance analysis: Independently prepare, monitor and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets and forecasts; perform variance analyses and derive targeted measures for financial control.
  • Reporting, data management and system use: Produce accurate, timely reports for Group Controlling in Switzerland, leveraging SAP S/4HANA and Power BI effectively to improve data quality, transparency and visualization.
  • Strategic collaboration and cross-functional governance: Work closely and cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to provide data-driven decision support and to integrate financial aspects into operational and strategic business processes.
  • Ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations: Prepare short-term economic calculations and analyses and present results in clear, informative presentations.
  • Effective cost management: Identify and compile potential cost-saving measures and derive appropriate actions for implementation.
  • Monthly cost presentation: Prepare, review and deliver the monthly cost presentation together with plant managers and specialist departments.

Requirements

  • University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in controlling or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Strong analytical skills, a high affinity for numbers and solid business acumen to assess complex financial relationships.
  • Confident use of ERP systems such as SAP and good knowledge of digital tools for data analysis and process support.
  • Excellent communication skills when collaborating with various stakeholders and fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
