Responsibilities
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
Produce high-quality comprehensive documentation that is appropriate for its intended audiences.
Write and maintain easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides to ensure customer success.
Create tutorials to help end-users with a variety of applications.
Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
Create and maintain the information architecture and content management system.
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, computer science, information technology, information management, or related field from an accredited university or college.
Four or more years of experience in technical writing of software documentation.
Superb written communication skills.
Experience writing documentation for applications involving complex mathematical calculations.
Experience with software project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.) and concepts (Agile, KanBan, Lean, etc.).
Basic knowledge of energy markets such as: energy price trends (electricity and major fuels); Energy and associated ancillary services market rules and practices; Generation Capacity Markets; Current U.S. energy regulations; Transmission system limitations and operating practices.
Experience with Power system analysis, design and operation, or generation and transmission planning/pricing.
Proficiency with power system analysis tools, e.g., PSLF, MAPS, MARS, and other competing software.
